A breakdown of the evening: 18:30 – 19:00 – Optional Interactive Djembe Drumming Session facilitated by master Central African drummers. 19h00 to 22:00 – An immersive African experience through 14 dish food safari and unique live entertainment, with storytelling, singing and dancing. This is an evening of African culture and celebration, curated by the Pan African Team. The entire 14 dish menu is served at the table in sharing and individual portions; you may order as much as you like from the menu at no extra cost. The entertainment typically starts around 19:45 and will be performed in each of the dining areas. Elgin Railway Market, Cape Town to Elgin + Return.

The journey departs from Harbour Bridge Platform (close to the Cape Town International Convention Centre), and meanders through Cape Town and its surrounds until reaching the majestic Sir Lowrys Pass. Arriving at the foot of the pass, the train embarks on an epic climb up one of the steepest railway lines in South Africa. Cresting the peak, the train snakes it way into the lush Elgin Valley before arriving at the Elgin Railway Market. Robben Island Museum

Robben Island, inhabited thousands of years ago when the sea channel to the Cape mainland wasn't submerged, transformed into a prison since the Dutch settlement in the mid-1600s. Over the years, it held Indigenous African leaders, Muslim leaders from the East Indies, Dutch and British individuals, women, and anti-apartheid activists. Nelson Mandela, a Nobel Laureate and former President, spent 18 of his 27 years of imprisonment on the island. Beyond its role as a prison, Robben Island served as a training and defense station in World War II and a hospital for those with leprosy, mental, and chronic illnesses.
