From the moment Christopher pulled his chair up beside Reagin in middle school after-school band, their story quietly began. Reagin was shy and honestly not thrilled that someone had invaded her space, but once they started talking, they never really stopped. Just one day later, while walking back from the track in gym class, Kip had her laughing so hard that she realized something important: she liked him. A lot. What started as middle school friendship quickly turned into first love. Though they briefly took a break in eighth grade, it only lasted about a month before they found their way back to each other and they’ve been inseparable ever since. Over six and a half years later, they’ve grown up side by side, becoming each other’s best friend, safe place, and constant through every stage of life. Their relationship has been built on the little things just as much as the big ones: back rubs after long days, keeping each other warm, late night talks, endless laughter, and always knowing the other person will be there no matter what. Together they’ve traveled across the world, including a trip to Ireland, with London next on the list, but no matter where life takes them, home has always been each other. Reagin knew she wanted to marry Christopher almost immediately after they got back together in ninth grade. Wrapped up in his arms while he held her face in his hands and told her how much he missed her, she knew this kind of love was rare. On November 15, 2025, Christopher turned an ordinary football game day into the start of forever. The morning seemed completely normal: breakfast at Waffle House with family and friends, rehearsals with Marching Mizzou, and a close Mizzou win later that night. All day long, Reagin remained completely unaware that everyone around her was keeping a secret. After the game, during postgame performances, one of Reagin’s friends randomly asked to switch seats with her. Still oblivious, she agreed. Moments later, after the band finished playing Hey Baby, Dr. Knopps slowed things down and said, “Speaking of love…” Confused, Reagin turned around and Christopher was there. Since middle school, they’ve chosen each other over and over again. What began with one chair pulled a little closer has turned into a lifetime of love, laughter, music, and growing up together. Now they can’t wait to start their next chapter as husband and wife.
