Thank you

We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you. Take a peak at the stories below to learn about the bride and groom prior to the big day!

How We Met

As corny as it is- we were in love at first sight.

Despite overlapping for years at TCNJ it took a graduation party for us to finally meet. Chris walked into the backyard grad party and said to his group of friends, "Nobody even think about talking to her". A large group of friends, old and new, gathered in the yard talking about general topics- school, starting jobs, and summer plans. As the sun set, Sam and Chris were the only two left talking in the yard. After rejoining the rest of our friends inside Chris decided "very smoothly" to give Sam the hand to ear signal for a telephone (asking for Sam's phone number). Well... it worked and we haven't stopped talking since!

The Proposal

21 July 2023

For 20+ summers the Moorzitz family has made their annual summer trip to Echo Lake Inn in Vermont- only being prevented from going twice, 2020-COVID and 2023-Record Flooding (both jokingly being blamed as "Chris's fault"). Chris knew early on that his plan was to propose in the quaint, wooded chapel area behind the Echo Lake Inn. With the trip being canceled only 3 weeks before our planned arrival and changing to locations to northern Massachusetts, Chris needed to think quick and be flexible coming up with alternative plans. Learning about the small town landmarks of southern Vermont, countless phone calls to Mr. Moorzitz, and endless Google searches for a new perfect spot- Chris found exactly that (and with only 2 days before our planned arrival). The Kinzler family decorated the new location- a quaint, wooded chapel at The Henry House with beautiful décor picked out by our dear friends. Sam & Chris pulled off at a covered bridge under the pretense of wasting time before meeting the Moorzitz family for dinner. The sunflower decorated grounds did not signal any alarms for Sam- as she thought the space was decorated for a wedding at the venue. Chris guided Sam to the chapel commenting "It's like they set it up just for us..." before proposing.
