Freshman year of high school we sort of met. We were in the same gym, art, and health class. We both had a distant crush on each other, and Rebecca even went as far as to stalk Michael a little bit. We officially met junior year in pre-calc. A mutual friend started a group chat so Michael could help Rebecca and her with their homework since Michael was pretty much a genius. As soon as Rebecca found out about Michael's last name, she told him "We should probably get married", so her initials could be "RRR" or "R cubed". From there, we made up this whole fake family, named our kids, said what type of house and cars we wanted. We even picked out pets and gave them names. However, it was all still fake. We stayed in touch, but still dated other people. Senior year we were reunited in government class. Our teacher sat us next to one another the whole year. When we asked him to please change our seats, he switched us with one another. We asked him why and he later admitted he thought we were dating the whole time. Our first date was a movie, Batman vs. Superman, which was an awful movie. We didn't care though, because we got to hold hands the entire time. Our first official day as a couple was May 23rd, 2016, the day before graduation. We had a water balloon fight to celebrate. Technically we are high school sweethearts, but just barely. Now we get to build our lives together for real, and we couldn't be more excited! We are very grateful for you to come along with us.
