The Proposal
Liv & Matt met at a rehearsal for a staged play reading on December 14, 2012 in New York City. (Knowing this date is important!) Following the performance, Matt asked Liv out. She politely declined, having just begun seeing someone. The two remained industry friends and would often run into each other, intermingling in the New York theatre scene.
Five years later, through timing and chance, Liv & Matt's paths began to cross more & their friendship blossomed. They started spending time together in the summer of 2018, realizing they had even MORE in common than they'd thought. Continuing to build a rich relationship full of fun, beautiful, magical moments, they made it official that November. After an exciting first year, navigating a global pandemic together actually sealed the deal!
Matt popped the question on December 14, 2022 in the middle of a holiday showcase at the Triad Theater - the same venue they had first performed in together. You guessed it: Liv said YES!!
