We met at Camp Westminster in the summer of 2017 as camp counselors. Both of us were high ropes course specialists and through the first week of training, I had almost unclipped him on the high ropes course, and he had retaliated by leaving a bit too much slack in my rope while belaying me down a wall. But for some odd reason, we quickly became good friends. We spent a lot of time together that summer, but when camp ended we went our separate ways. Over the next few years, we would meet up every now and again, write a few letters to each other, and text when something reminded us of each other. We both knew that we really enjoyed spending time together but didn't want to risk ruining such a great friendship. But at the beginning of 2020, all that changed when he asked me to go with him to see Les Miserables in Birmingham, and after the show and dinner, he finally asked me out. From our first official date at the High Art Museum to a proposal at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens a year later it has all been a blessing and an adventure. As strange as this last year has been, we have been blessed beyond belief. These blessings are not due solely to our upcoming marriage, but they are the people we have met, the friends and family we have gained, and the outpour of love and support we have received from each of you.
