Were getting married!

We meet at a fish hatchery position in Spirit Lake, IA in 2018. We were both 6 month seasonal employees at the same time. Ended up working together and became a couple just a couple of weeks into the season. Our first “date” was to the West O brewery where it was suppose to be a couple employees going but we were the only two to show up. Made West O our date night every Wednesday after we started officially dating.

Our proposal story is on News Years Eve night where we went to the Kiwanis light show, in Mankato, MN. This is a christmas lights show that we have been meaning to go to but just never found the time and this was the last night it was going on. We show up and start walking around the large park talking about the lights. As we walk through an arch way of lights, Tanin trys to slow Kinsey down to stand under the arch way but Kinsey was too distracted and determined to walk though. Tanin then stops Kinsey to say they should stop and enjoy the view. While Kinsey’s back was turned he bought out a ring box and then asked the question, “Will you marry me.” To Kinsey’s shock, she said “Wait is this for real?” He replied, “Absolutely, I would get on one knee but it is wet out here.” Kinsey happily said yes and we went out to celebrate getting engaged before the new year! Fun facts: Tanin did end up reproposing later in our town home on his knee since Kinsey’s dad said that the first one did not count! Tanin proposed to Kinsey with her own ring since he wanted her to be able to pick out her own ring special. He ring was made by her mom’s friend Raychel and the tanzanite stone was given by her Aunt Lee.
