Horseback riding, rock climbing, yoga, massage, crafts...you name it! There's endless opportunity for fun all while being surrounded by the gorgeous Rockies.
RMNP holds a special place in our Colorado memories together. Driving and/or hiking through the park you'll find stunning views of the epic Rocky Mountains and grazing wildlife.
What better way to take in panoramic views of Estes Park than from above? Take the tramway up to the top of Prospect mountain where you'll be greeted by easily accessible hiking trails and a cafe. Bonus Points: kids under the age of 5 ride for free. The tramway opens for the season on May 25, so if you have a late flight out of Colorado that day, this would be a great way to squeeze in a few more memories in the Rockies.
If you're staying in Estes Park, this is one of our favorite restaurants for special occasions. Delicious craft cocktails and a curated menu featuring charcuterie and seasonal accoutrements always hits the spot.
If you love craft beer as much as we do, look no further. This indoor/outdoor beer garden offers a wide variety of craft beer from across the country, as well as wine and cocktails for those who prefer something a little stronger. Live music and food trucks are also available and their website provides detailed information on schedules for both.
We've been eating BBQ here since we met. Luckily there are locations in Longmont, Lyons, and two in Estes Park. No matter where you stay this is a tasty choice! A favorite of Mike's is the pulled pork, but Kinley swears by the cajun chicken sandwich (you can add pulled pork to that too!) Hot Tip: one of the Estes Park locations is on a golf course with killer views.
Located in downtown Lyons (and another location in Longmont), this has been a favorite brewery of ours for years. Freshly brewed beer and good eats to please everyone in the family!
A sister restaurant to The Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery in Boulder, one of our favorite places to eat and grab a few beers with friends. Get the wings!
We know, we know. It has been clearly advised to steer clear of Boulder...but the teahouse is just so beautiful that we couldn't resist. Located right downtown, it may be a chaotic journey. If you do choose to stay in Boulder or somewhere nearby, Saturday morning may be a good time to check it out. The Farmers Market will be in full swing as well as the Boulder Creek Fest.
