OUR STORY

FROM LUKE & KINLEY We met the summer before eighth grade at a swim party and from the very beginning we knew we liked each other! We spent eighth and ninth grade “talking” and getting to know one another. Our sisters, Madi and Ellie became best friends and soon me and Luke found ourselves being driven around by our big sisters everyday. We made the decision to wait to date until Luke turned sixteen and got his drivers license, so that he could drive us on a “real date”. On New Year’s Eve, Luke asked Kinley on their first date, and we went out the very next day on New Year’s Day! Our first date was in Georgetown Square – where our rehearsal dinner will be! Over time, our lives became more and more connected. Through family vacations to Colorado and Florida, and so many memories in between, our families became one. Ollie and Ellie began to feel like Kinley’s own siblings, and Madi and Caden became Luke’s. Also, of course, you can’t forget our wonderful parents who have loved and supported us throughout our whole relationship! As we grew up together, we experienced so much life side by side. We walked through the loss of his grandmothers, Nana and Mimi, her Granddaddy, and Kinley’s beloved brother, Caden. We also faced challenges like Kinley’s diagnosis with T1D, moving to a new state for college, and doing long distance while Kinley was in London for a year. Through every season, we leaned on each other and grew stronger together. Through it all, our faith has been the foundation of our relationship. The Lord has always been at the center of our lives, and over the years, we have grown so much spiritually together. In both the joyful moments and the hardest seasons, we have learned to trust Him more and to lean on His strength. We are so grateful for the gift of having grown up side by side in every stage of life and loving each other through each phase. Now, as we prepare to get married on January 1st, it feels especially meaningful knowing it marks the same day as our very first date!! We are so grateful for every moment we have shared that makes up our story, both the joyful ones and the difficult ones. We truly cannot imagine doing life without each other. We believe it is a gift to walk through every season together, and we are so thankful that God chose us to spend forever side by side!!!
