Like many modern love stories, ours began with a dating app. We matched on Hinge on February 16, 2025, proving that sometimes a single swipe can change your life. After a month of talking, we met for our first date on March 18 at Jurassic Tacos. We spent the evening talking about our shared love of travel, life, and the people who matter most to us. We were both cautiously optimistic, but as the weeks went on, our guards slowly came down and it became clear there was something special worth pursuing. Soon, weekly dates became the highlight of our schedules. We spent our time watching movies, trying new restaurants, going on hikes, and finding excuses to spend more time together. In May, after a day spent hiking and hanging out with friends, we made things official. The past year has been full of adventure, laughter, and countless memories. Together we traveled to Georgia, Washington, Texas, several national parks, and eventually all the way to Nepal. While we have loved exploring new places together, some of our favorite moments have been the simple ones spent talking, laughing, and enjoying everyday life. In April and May of this year, we spent two weeks trekking through Nepal to Everest Base Camp, something that was well outside both of our comfort zones. The trek challenged us physically and mentally, but it also became one of the most meaningful experiences of our lives. Along the way, we were reminded how much we enjoy tackling life's adventures side by side. When we finally reached Everest Base Camp, Andrew proposed, making one of the most memorable days of our lives even more special. From the very beginning, what has made our relationship so special is the friendship at its foundation. We truly are one another's best friends, and there is no one we'd rather experience life's adventures with. We are incredibly grateful we found each other and are excited for everything ahead.
