Jim and Christina met at work in 2012. Christina worked the front desk, while Jim was an executive assistant. Christina found any excuse she could to call Jim about the student library he oversaw, and Jim regularly overindulged in water bottles from the fridge next to Christina's desk. They developed a cute, crush-y acquaintance until they both left their jobs to pursue other endeavors. The two reconnected in 2015, when Jim asked Christina to read scripts for his writers group and Christina invited him to the quite terrible but catchy rock opera in which she was acting. After the show, Christina was delighted to find Jim waiting at the stage door. They went for a drink, commenced dating, and after countless BBQ dinners, true crime documentaries, and general silliness, they decided to marry!
Jim gifted Christina tickets to Harry Potter and Cursed Child, Parts One and Two, for their three-year anniversary. After the show(s), Jim surprised Christina with a corner room at a beautiful downtown hotel in the Lower East Side. With wine-filled Harry Potter sippy cups in hand, Jim took Christina through a candle and rose petal-strewn room to the balcony overlooking the downtown Manhattan and Brooklyn skylines, where he then proposed.
