Our story Sheila Our love story started long before we knew each other. It started with this prayer.. on January 2nd, 2014 .. 5years before we met( this prayer was saved in my email). Dear future husband, I want to be a wife whom God desires for you. God gives good gifts to His children. As His son, you deserve the best, so today I commit to be faithful to you. I commit to live my life honoring my body and mind for you. I want to reflect God's desire and love for you. When you look at me that day I want you to be able to say without a doubt, ' My Father God loves me.' I pray that you continue to stand firm in God. Live with honor and give up your body as a living sacrifice. I love you. May God give you strength in your walk. We both need grace for the path is difficult but not impossible. See you at God's appointed time. Kingsley Providence intervened and brought my wife and me together. A profound instinct has always led me to believe that my life and that of my future family will be established in America. In Nigeria, I made deliberate attempts to settle down, but they were unsuccessful because God had decreed that my future wife was in America, as revealed by a pastor who, inspired by God, declared that my endeavors to find a wife in Africa would be fruitless. I shifted my focus towards immigrating to America, occasionally wondering how this would all transpire. Sheila I wish it were that easy, but even with patience, waiting can be a challenge. I stepped out in faith and tried dating, but nothing seemed to work out. Thankfully, God sent a Pastor I knew at the time, to encourage me with the revelation that my husband wasn't in America! I still tried to take control, but it didn't work out. God sent another pastor, who reaffirmed that my husband wasn't in America! I began to wonder if I needed to look abroad. I prayed consistently, but the answer didn't come until I heard God's reassuring voice during a worship service: "He will come to you. I will bring him to you." With renewed hope, I chose to wait, trusting in God's perfect timing. The Day has arrived!!! Sheila Woke up that morning with a spirit of expectation, feeling like today was going to be a day of great possibilities, and I was filled with an infectious excitement. I took a little extra time to get ready, I was going to the mall with my friend Leah. We stepped into the mall, did a little shopping afterwards, and as we were walking out, Kingsley was walking in Kingsley Having just arrived in Fort Wayne, I was excited to make my new apartment feel like home. I needed Nigerian spices to cook and Google pointed me to the mall! Looking back, I now realize there were no African grocery stores at the mall! Divine Intervention Kingsley I'm certain that God's guidance led me to that specific location at that exact time, where Sheila, my future wife, was walking out! Sheila Looking back, I know that God orchestrated our meeting that day. From the moment I woke up feeling like something amazing would happen, to deciding to sit in the mall for a while and leave at just the right moment that my future husband was coming in! No one introduced us; God wanted all the glory! And we give Him all the honor and the glory! God is very intentional about all of us humans. He loves us in a way, we can’t even comprehend all we can do it accept it. Choose today to start trusting Him with your life. Ask about Jesus. God has great things in store for you. He is not partial to anyone, what He does for me, He can do for you. The only thing standing in the way is, you, are you willing? “But as it is written: “Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, Nor have entered into the heart of man The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” I Corinthians 2:9 NKJV
