Our families have grown over the years and we'd love to see everyone. If your kids are listed on the RSVP list, please indicate if they are coming. Make whatever decision is best for you and reach out to us if you want to review any details for the weekend or need accommodations.
There is no particular color or theme, except please don't wear all white. The dress is semi-formal (typical wedding attire). Men, button up shirt with optional tie and jacket. Women, no need for formal gowns. Dress in a colorful jumpsuit or cocktail to full length dress that you love. Keep in mind the Wharf is covered in cobble stone, and the venue is accessible at the end of a wooden pier. So, skinny heels beware. The venue has a clear line of site to the setting sun that will be much more enjoyable with sunnies. The weather may swing between low 50's to high 60's and change quickly. Pack a jacket for the outdoor ceremony just in case.
No requirement in particular, except a great party attitude. We'll have an area to drop a card off if you choose to bring one.
Our wedding registry will be online shortly enough. Please mail gifts to the apartment so you don't waste space traveling with them. We would love y’all to sign our guest book and share your photos!
If you're not staying on the Wharf, D.C. is very transit accessible. The Wharf has several underground parking garages, where it's recommended to keep the car for the weekend if you stay in the Hyatt block. The closest metro stops are a 10 minute walk from L'Enfant Plaza or Waterfront Metro Stations, both accessible via DCA or Dulles Airports. Please keep in mind that the metro system closes at 1:00 a.m. on Saturdays. Metro cards can be purchased at the station or downloaded on your mobile device with the SmarTrip card in Apple Wallet or Google Wallet. The city is also very Uber and Lyft friendly, walkable and bikable. The local DOT here must be pretty good.
