In August 2017, Charles was embarking on a new chapter at Oral Roberts University, full of excitement and anticipation. Gina, meanwhile, was in her senior year of college, working hard to wrap up her studies and chart her own path. Fate, however, had its own plans for these two souls. Shortly after moving into ORU, Charles discovered the Hammer Center, a hub where students gathered to connect, study, and unwind. Behind the front desk, with a welcoming smile and warm demeanor, was Gina. It wasn’t long before Charles made the Hammer Center a part of his daily routine—not just for the coffee or camaraderie, but for the growing connection he felt every time he chatted with Gina. What started as friendly banter between the two quicklly grew into a friendship. Charles began to confide in Gina, sharing his hopes, dreams, and even the little challenges of college life. Gina, in turn, offered a listening ear and her own thoughtful perspective. But life had other plans. At the end of that semester, Gina moved to Minnesota to pursue new opportunities. In time they became inseparable, building a love that was stronger than ever before.  As they look back on their journey—from the serendipitous meetings at the Hammer Center to the rekindled spark years later—Charles and Gina know their story is one of destiny, patience, and the enduring power of connection.
