We have set aside a block of rooms, available through 9/24/18. Please call the cruise line directly (M-F, 8am-8pm EST) at 800-465-3595, option 4 and reference #7580359. Guests can speak with the first available representative. Guests may also make a reservation any time before 3/1/19, you will just be charged whatever the prevailing rate is at the time that you book. The cruise runs various specials at different times of year, but availability will of course become more limited as time goes on.
In order to count for the overall group you must book through Royal Caribbean directly, not a 3rd party site or travel agent. There are different tiers of group benefits, based on the total number of rooms that are booked.
The final cost will depend on the size and type of room that you reserve, how many people in the room, and what add-ons you get (such as drinks, internet, etc.) There are specials happening at various times, featuring discounted rates and/or complementary add-ons or onboard credit. In general you can expect to pay $1,500 or more per couple.
At the time of booking a $500 deposit is collected. This normally is a fully-refundable deposit, depending on room type and package selected. Final payment is collected on 3/17/19. Excursions can be booked in advance within 90 days of departure or booked on the ship or in Bermuda directly. 90 days out is also when you can start to make specialty restaurant and spa reservations. Excursions, specialty restaurants, spa services, drink packages, internet, and gratuity charges are extra, though some packages do provide onboard credit that can be applied to these charges.
We understand that taking this trip is a big commitment and expense for everyone. And that cruising is not an experience that sounds enjoyable to some people. We appreciate that not everyone will be able to attend the event, and will be looking to hold informal gatherings in New York and Alabama at some point when we get back from the cruise, in order to celebrate our wedding with family and friends who are unable to join us at sea.
We really hope you can make it! We ask that you please RSVP by March 1, 2019. Final attendees will be counted as those who have booked a room on the ship and submitted final payment by the cruise deadline.
We hope that everyone treats this trip as a vacation. Please feel free to bring your kids with you if you want to. There are a variety of programs dedicated to kids of all ages onboard the ship. https://www.royalcaribbean.com/experience/cruises-for-kids-and-teens Please note, the wedding ceremony/reception is adults only.
Babysitting is offered both in a group setting and individually in your stateroom. In stateroom babysitting must be reserved through the Guest Relations Desk at least 24 hours in advance. It cannot be reserved prior to the cruise vacation and there is no guarantee that sitters will be available. The service is offered between 8:00 am and 2:00 am when personnel is available. Sitters will be assigned on a first come first served basis. Children must be at least 1 year old. Approximate Rate: $19 per hour for up to three children within the same family. Times and prices are subject to change without notice. Payment will be made using your onboard SeaPass card.
The ceremony and reception will both be at the Music Hall venue on the ship. It will be held from 5:30pm to 8pm, on June 16th, the first day we are at sea. We kindly ask guests to arrive 10-15 minutes prior, to grab a beverage and start mingling. You can find photos of the space here: https://www.cruisecritic.com/photos/ships/anthem-of-the-seas-706/music-hall-409439/
The wedding date corresponds with the formal night on the ship, so follow those guidelines and you will be all set for the ceremony/reception, as well as whatever other plans you have for later that evening. Think of the cruise's formal dress code as a night out in your best black-tie look — suits and ties, tuxedos, cocktail dresses or evening gowns are all acceptable options.
Yes there will! We will have appetizers and different food stations available. We are both vegetarian, so items will be within those guidelines. If anyone has any special dietary restrictions please let us know so we can let the ship know to accommodate. There will also be a full open bar.
It wouldn't be much of a party without dancing now would it? We have worked with Royal Caribbean to provide a DJ for the event.
While the ceremony itself will be camera free, please take as many photos as you like during the reception. We will be creating a group album after the cruise for everyone to share photos of the event and the entire trip.
Currently we are still in the planning stages. As we have more details we will update the website and also will include information in the welcome packet for everyone. Currently we are looking at a potential welcome reception on the day of departure, and a group event in Bermuda one of the days we are in port.
Your presence at our wedding is gift enough. But since you asked, we are registered at Crate & Barrel (Registry No. 5878294) and Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/wedding/). Both are accessible by clicking on the 'Other Registries' link on the Registry landing page on this website. On that page you will also find some experiences we are looking forward to on our honeymoon, if you would like to contribute to our trip.

When you’re on board, the right look will vary by venue and time of day. Shoes should be low-heeled for deck activities. Bring a few swimsuits (so you will always have a dry one). FDA-approved acupressure wristbands and various over-the-counter medications and natural treatments can help prevent seasickness, and should be used before you start to feel ill. Consult your physician before choosing to use either. Your location onboard and in proximity to the water can also help. The lower you are to the water line, and the closer you are to the center of the ship, the less movement you will experience. When looking out at the water, keep your sight on the horizon line.
