Start our wedding day with a little peace and stretch! We’ve invited a certified yoga & sound-healing practitioner to lead an easy, restorative session—think grounding flows, deep breaths, a soothing singing bowl, and a brief celebratory chant. What to expect Style: Slow, blissful movement suitable for all bodies (no advanced poses). Sound bath: Crystal singing bowl + gentle chant to set an uplifting tone for the day. Length: 60–75 minutes; we’ll finish by 8:45 a.m.—plenty of time to freshen up and enjoy breakfast. What to bring Yoga mat (or a large towel). If you’re traveling mat-free, there will be mats for use. Water bottle and comfy layers you can move in.
4:30 pm - 5:00 pm
Seating will be arranged directly on the grass, so please choose footwear accordingly: Ladies: flat sandals, wedges, or block heels recommended, stilettos will sink. Gents: loafers or dress shoes with a solid sole work perfectly.
Our “I dos” will take place beneath the grand tree on the Barrows House lawn, a shady, storybook setting we fell in love with the moment we saw it. We’ll have a table with fans and sun umbrellas on hand, but comfortable shoes will let you stroll, mingle, and dance without a wobble. Thanks for planning ahead so we can all enjoy the lawn (and the view) worry-free!
5:00 pm - 11:00 pm
Garden-party formal: tuxes, suits or sport coats, gowns, cocktail dresses, or dressy jumpsuits. Block heels, wedges, or flats are still your friends—grass remains underfoot outside the tent and off of the dance floor!
5:00 p.m. — Cocktail Hour on the Patio Stroll from the ceremony tree to the patio for craft cocktails, local ciders and beer, and passed nibbles. Pro tip: Vermont evenings cool quickly, keep a wrap or jacket handy so you can linger outdoors in comfort. 6:00 p.m. — Dinner in the Sailcloth Tent Find your name card, take your seat, and enjoy a pre-plated farm-fresh salad. There’s no grand entrance—just the relaxed arrival of the happy couple joining everyone at the tables. 9:30 p.m. — Sweet Finish Dessert arrives buffet-style - we have three different styles of cake all to satisfy your sweet tooth!
