We’re getting married!

Kaitlin had just moved in to her Grams' (Joanie) house in preparation to go to CMU in the Fall. Grams mentioned she knew a boy that lived just up the road from her that also went to CMU. "He can show you the ins and outs of CMU" she said. So that afternoon after Kaitlin got off work, Grams called Adam and asked if he could stop by on his way home so the two could meet. He politely agreed. About an hour or so later Adam knocks on the front door and Grams yells down to Kaitlin to come say hello. Kaitlin comes up the stairs to introduce herself and the two start talking. Not a moment later Grams says she needs to run to the post office and leaves. From there on Adam and Kaitlin were together every day and the rest is history. To this day Grams said she never intended to play cupid but she sure is happy it turned out that way.

Adam and Kaitlin were on a family trip with Kaitlin's parents and little brother in the Bahamas. After a very fun morning/afternoon of snorkeling everyone went back to the hotel for a quick nap in preparation for dinner. As Kaitlin was napping, Tawnya (Mother), David (Father), and Adam were planning on taking a walk to the spot where Adam was planning to propose. Before they could leave the hotel room, Kaitlin woke up from her nap and Tawnya so politely asked if Kaitlin would like to join in on their walk (even though Kaitlin was supposed to take the same walk with Adam later that evening). Kaitlin said yes and off they went on their walk. A few hours later about 45 minutes before dinner, Adam asks Kaitlin to take another walk with him. Kaitlin says "but we just took a walk, and it's almost time for dinner." Adam pleaded with Kaitlin saying there is something he wanted to look at before dinner. After a few minutes Kaitlin agrees and they head off. They make it down to the beach and start walking along the water. While Kaitlin is looking at the sand, she spots a washed-up sea urchin. Before she could get a word out to Adam to watch out for the spiney creature, he accidentally kicks the sea urchin and is stabbed in the foot by one of the spines. The reason Adam didn't see the urchin was because he was focused on making eye contact with the photographer. Kaitlin picks up the sea urchin to see if it's alive and sure enough it is still moving! Kaitlin decides to take it over to a rocky area for the sea urchin to latch onto. As the couple starts heading back to the hotel Adam asks Kaitlin to look towards the ocean for a picture. Then when Kaitlin turns around Adam is plopped in the ocean on his knee and asks Kaitlin if she would do the honor of marrying him. She said yes, of course! There were tears from both and it was absolutely amazing!
