Buda Castle
Located on historic Castle Hill, Buda Castle offers beautiful architecture, museums, and breathtaking views over the city. Wander the cobblestone streets of the castle district and stop by nearby viewpoints. You can also ride the historic funicular up from the river for a classic Budapest experience.

This fairytale-like castle terrace next to Matthias Church offers some of the most beautiful views of the Parliament and the Danube.
Parliament Building
One of the most iconic landmarks in Hungary and one of the largest parliament buildings in the world. Take a walk along the Danube Promenade for incredible views. The building is especially beautiful in the evening when it lights up along the river.
Margaret Island
This peaceful green island sits in the middle of the Danube and is a favorite local escape. Rent a bike on the island and ride the loop around the island, stop at the musical fountain, explore gardens and medieval ruins, or simply enjoy a relaxing walk in the park.
Heroes' Square
One of Budapest’s most iconic landmarks, featuring grand statues of Hungary’s historic leaders and the Millennium Monument. It sits at the entrance to City Park and is a great spot for photos.
Vajdahunyad Castle
Located in City Park near Heroes’ Square, this picturesque castle looks like something out of a fairytale. Walk around the lake, explore the beautiful architecture, and enjoy the peaceful park setting.
Gellért Hill
A short scenic hike leads to one of the best panoramic viewpoints in Budapest. At the top you’ll find the Liberty Statue and sweeping views of the Danube, Parliament, and both the Buda and Pest sides of the city. It’s a wonderful sunset spot and great for photos.
