Back in 7th grade, we met in band class. We were kids, just beginning to discover the world and each other, good friends, but life was to have it as classes changed; we went our separate ways and stayed in different paths through high school, college, even trade school. Years went by, and we hardly spoke—but fate had other ideas. Through the magic of social media, he found me again on Instagram. Our first date is at Grumpy’s in Tukwila, and from that moment on, it’s pretty obvious that this is the start of something incredible. One look, and we knew that spark had reignited. From the junior high school hallways to a life built together with four dogs, it is with great anticipation that we approach a much-anticipated next step, in celebrating the journey begun long ago.
