Through hamburgers and service, our paths crossed. We had our first real interaction at a leadership retreat at Semihan Church when Amy and her ridiculous lack of hamburger experience stated she never had Hopdoddys in her life. This trivial moment led to our first outing together. After three dates and a straightforward DTR ("define the relationship") by Amy, we started dating on September 14, 2019. Although our mutual friend, Josh, and Pastor Wonsuk Lee each like to take credit for us getting together, we truly believe it was the Lord that have allowed us to become united as man and wife. "Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts." Colossians 3:16
The current events that are going on in the world is SO much greater than ourselves. We acknowledge that these are hard times and that many of us are treading through rough waters. We pray for our families, our friends, our church, and our neighbors near and far that you will find peace and joy even in this extraordinary circumstance. Almost like an oasis amid a desert, we are extremely grateful that the Lord has allowed this gift of marriage for us amid COVID-19. Within the heart of gratitude, there is sadness as we are not able to celebrate it with all of you- our church family, our childhood friends, and all those we met along the way. As all venues have continued to be capped at 50% capacity, we had to make the hardest decision to limit those in attendance. We sincerely ask for you to celebrate with us, PANDEMIC-STYLE, by joining us online. We will provide the link as we get closer to the date. We desire to stand before many witnesses to pray for us as we stand before God, entering a covenant relationship as Man and Wife. Thank you so much for walking alongside us on this new journey.
