Mother of the Bride
We lost our dad in 2002 and if it wasn't for our mom's strong-will we don't know where we'd be today. Ever since then my mom has stepped in to provide for the family and I couldn't be any more grateful. I rarely hear her complain or make an excuse for anything. She has always been a hard working person and I have never admired anyone more than her. I have learned so much through her examples that I hope I can do the same for my future children someday. I know it's tradition to have the father walk the bride down the aisle but I wouldn't want anyone else except my mom by my side on our wedding day. I don't know what I did to deserve a mom like her and now it's my turn to serve her and take care of her as she did for the last 25 years. I love you umma.
Mother of the Groom
I'll write you a personal card umma :)
Brother of the Bride
Not a lot of people know that I have an older brother. Honestly we don't even look alike! Yes yes I know.. He's got all the good genes but hey! At least I got the height in the family (; But seriously, it's crazy to think that we're 14 years apart because I forget how old he is sometimes. Whenever our family is together he finds a way to make us all laugh and it almost feels like time has stopped. He doesn't say "I love you" much but I know he really loves and cares for me and shows it in his own way. It wasn't just my mom who raised me but my brother as well. He was my bodyguard, my comedian, my taxi driver, my atm (LOL), my mom, my dad, my friend, the list goes on and on and I could not imagine a childhood without my brother in it. I love you so much oppa.
Father of the Groom
You too appa. I'll write you a personal card.
Maid of Honor
Julie's reaction when she saw "Maid of Honor" was priceless :) I kept telling her I wasn't going to have any bridesmaids so when I asked her to be my MOH she was definitely surprised! GOT CHA! Of course you're my Maid of Honor Julie! I wouldn't have it any other way. Sometimes we're terrible at staying in touch, but when we do get around to it, we always pick up where we left off. We know each other so well, it's almost creepy (; She's seen me at my worst, my best, and my weirdest moments. Julie (Jasmine & Joanne) introduces me as one of her sisters to other people and I truly feel their love for me as a family. In college, I had to live away from my family and Julie and the Chung sisters were all I had. So I can't imagine a wedding without my sister/best friend standing by my side.
Best Man
My brother from the same mother. The best among others. I would not have another stand by my side, you my ride or die. Haha. But in all seriousness, Jin, you're the little brother I don't deserve. You have been a better little brother than I have been a big brother. Seems like yesterday you were the little muscle man who was too shy to sing for the camera. Now you have grown into a man I admire and I am so proud of you. You are the best brother a man could have, and so it's only right that you are the Best Man. So happy to have you by my side as I begin this next chapter of my life.

As you can tell.. there is not a dull moment with Jasmine. I asked for a picture of herself and this is what I received. As silly as she seems, she's a serious and positive person. Planning the wedding was a little stressful.. okay A LOT STRESSFUL! But as I finished one task she'd say, "Hari, you're doing great! Keep it up" and with those words I felt like I could plan my wedding in no time! I was always the pessimistic person but with Jasmine by my side, she has helped me to think optimistically little by little. When my stress gage goes up she'll calm me down by saying, "You have time. You can do this. You have us. Ask us for help" I mean.. c'mon.. she's seriously the BESTT and I can't imagine a wedding without her love and support.
Groomsman
I've known you my whole life. As far back as I can remember, we would get into all kinds of trouble every Sunday at church. Literally an endless amount of memories: sleepovers playing video games all night (lol), playing football with a plastic block (LOL), getting beat up by Young (LMAO)... The list goes on. Over all those years, I clearly remember a common theme: Happiness. As we grow older and are forced to juggle priorities, we may have less time for childhood friendships. But know that I cherish those memories and look forward to many more to come. I'm so happy that you are a part of this special milestone in my life. Cheers to a lifelong friendship, which has only just begun.

Ohhh Hanbi. Let me tell you. She is a character! She has an odd sense of humor that no one can pull off except her. And I love that about her! Whether if I were in Sacramento or in Atlanta she would always text me and keep in contact with me. Every time we'd see each other again she'd say, "Its like you never left!" and I think she's the reason why I felt like I never left Sacramento. Hanbi is one of a kind person and I don't think I can find another friend like her in my lifetime.

Dennis Lee, the ATL homie. Thank goodness Justin and I decided to go to the Korean dinner as 1st years. Who knew that you would eventually be the ranking member of the D&T Korean practice (aside from HDL). What has been a relatively short friendship (cut even shorter by months of busy season), has been so rewarding in so many ways. I never thought I'd make new friends as an adult that I now hope to be life-long friends with. You're a reminder of the importance of surrounding oneself with like-minded, motivated individuals. You're also unknowingly a beacon of motivation. Mainly because of the assurance I get knowing that if you can survive the year ahead of me, I can do it too! LOL! I joke. Thank you for being such a great friend to both Hari and me. You helped make Atlanta home for us.

I'm so glad she came back to Sacramento because we got to spend some time with each other before I left for Atlanta. I know she didn't think I would ask her to be one of my bridesmaids but how could I not! She has always put a smile on my face with her unique laugh and with all her funny face expressions :) She just turns any situation into something memorable and I know if everything fails she'll be there to save the day!! P.S. Shanna's the one that started all the funny face pictures for the bridesmaids and I LOVE THEM ALL hehehe

Pretty much every memory I have of doing something incredibly stupid, somehow you are either in it or related in a way. Correlation is not causation, so I'm not implying anything here... Haha. But you were there when I first met Hari, so you can't be all bad luck right? I kid, I kid. You've known me since I was a troubled child who thought he was all grown up. You've also known me as an adult, who acts like a child most of the time. Throughout it all you have been a constant: A friend who is selfless and a positive influence on those around him. For that I thank you. You are a friend in every aspect of the word and I value our friendship more than I'd ever like to admit. Thanks again for being a part of this moment in my life. Also, what is going on with the picture man...
Bridesmaid
Joanne! I'm glad I surprised you by asking you to be my bridesmaid. How can I have a wedding without my baby sister! When I first got my license she let me practice my driving by giving her rides to and from her school. Anyone who trusts me with their live deserves to have a spot at the wedding (; With all seriousness she has never failed to take care of me when I'm sick. She can make me laugh without trying and she is one of the few people that laughs at my jokes (even though I know they're not funny). Through Joanne, I have learned what it feels like to be loved by a little sister! And I would be honored to have her by my side on our wedding day!!

Mr. Hyun. The only other Korean in my start class, we were destined to be friends! I won't forget the moment at DU when we laughed like crazy people, making Cindy super uncomfortable LOL! It was at that moment that I knew we would be friends. Over the last 3 years, both of us have grown as individuals. Luckily our friendship has grown as well. You are one of the few who I know will be a friend forever. Both of us are so busy with juggling work/life, and it doesn't help that I am notorious for being poor at maintaining friendships. Thank goodness you are the friend that you are. Selfless and understanding. I only hope that I can one day be a friend like you. Thank you for all your kindness to Hari and I over the years and thank you for being a part of this special moment of our lives.

Sora and I met in my sophomore year of high school and we've been friends ever since. I've moved around schools so many times that it was always hard to find friends at school and let me tell you, middle school and high school kids can be pretty mean! One day, after taking my PSATs I was waiting for my ride home and Sora came up to me and introduced herself. We started hanging out at lunch and we just clicked! I still remember when we cried with each other on our graduation day because I had a rough year and she knew what I had been through. She has always been there for my important events and I'd love to have her stand by my side to share another great event of my life.

It's crazy how the casual choices we make change the course of our lives. Who would have known that the choice to spend a semester abroad would bring a life-long friend into my life. Who would have known that the choice to visit and travel with that friend would lead me to meet my future wife. Let this not distract you from what we have done with these choices: the fact that we grew that close over the course of one semester and kept in touch over all these years is almost miraculous. It speaks to the friend that you are. One who is tireless and persistent in his duty as a friend. I only hope that I have been a friend who is deserving of a friendship like this. To many more choices that will lead to more memories between us. Thank you Eddie for changing the course of our lives.
