I was in NY on business and decided to watch my client, Kevin Stocker, in the World Series in a bar near my hotel. The bar was crowded and, as is my way, I was interacting with many of the patrons... all watching the game. Kim was sitting with a large eclectic group of friends nearby. At some point, I turned to talk and locked eyes, for the first time with Kimone.....and I said to Kim, without thinking at all, " Wow! You could own me with a glance." I think it is a very cool thing to have said to the woman who now will become my wife.

Less than a week after meeting, we had our first date at a restaurant called "Five Points" in the Bowery. It was on election day and as we exited, horns started honking all over Manhattan. We knew Obama had won. It was an exciting day to be in NYC on a first date when the first African-American President was elected. As it turned out, highly memorable both historically and personally.
