Garrett and I met in our senior-year English class when he sat behind me and my best friend Hannah. We spent most of the semester having no idea who the other was, but I remember one day he simply just caught my eye and I made up excuses to talk to him. However, at this point, the year was drawing to an end and we were not close enough to continue hanging out after the class was over. I realized I was not okay with never seeing Garrett again, so with some encouragement from a friend, I messaged him on Insta with hopes we could hang out. It just so happens that when I sent this message, Garrett was at work and he freaked out. He ran to the bathroom and messaged Rand (his brother). This is where I have to credit Rand because, without him, Garrett would have not messaged me back. With encouragement from Rand, Garrett messaged me back and we hung out for a couple of months. Then on January 12, 2020, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and then three years and one day later his fiancé! We can not wait to be married in October 2024 and feel so blessed we have so many people we love to share this day with us.
