Matron of Honor
Kimi's Sister Although she wouldn't admit it at the time, Kimi wanted to be just like Kristin growing up. Wearing her clothes, reading her books, and pretending her favorite movie was Braveheart. (Kimi STILL hasn't seen Braveheart in it's entirety). When they got older, they became much closer. In addition to giving Kimi the greatest nephew in the world, Kristin is a constant source of support, laughter, and "omg you too? I thought I was the only one!".
Best Man
Caleb first met Rob in about 2005 when Rob was living on Grand Ave in Eau Claire and Caleb was living a few blocks down. The first real impression Caleb got was how relaxed Rob was and how relaxing it was to hang out, although he does talk a mile a minute sometimes. Fast forward a couple years later when Caleb started driving a cab. The mornings tended to be sort of slow so he would cruise over to Rob's house, which was centrally located, and wait for rides to come over the dispatch. He worked 3rd shift so Rob would just be getting home from work. In those mornings they would sit around, drink coffee, and just talk about whatever came to their minds. Many mornings spent that way! Caleb has always looked up to Rob as a great influence, a trusted friend, a great father to his children, and an all around solid guy! Not to mention the coldest beer on the block!
Bridesmaid
Kimi and Chaslynn first bonded over their love of mini corn dogs and funny stories. Their friendship grew and Chas quickly became someone that Kimi goes to for all kind of advice. She gives realistic and "tough love". Kimi follows the "Chas knows best" motto unless it involves online shopping.
Groomsman
Steve and Caleb have been friends for many years, spending time together playing music and hanging out at music festivals, and Madeleine Island. Caleb loves to help Steve screenprint and help out with Steve with his sculptures in his various past studios. The two of them were part of bands together from 2007-2012, and have been playing music together ever since.
Bridesmaid
Kimi met Mark...err...Amanda...when they were 15 years old. The best thing to happen at the Norske Nook. Moving up the ranks together from Amanda bussing tables and washing dishes, together they became hostesses and waitresses. Kimi thought she was pretty cool because she had a friend from a different school. Midnight dinners at Perkins, Grape Smirnoff, countless Brewers games and Long Islands. Amanda has been there through it all. Even though she claims to have a cold, black heart and hates everyone....Amanda would do absolutely anything for those she loves.
Groomsman
The youngest of 10 brothers and sisters, Steve is and has always been Caleb's “cool” uncle. He’ll tell you some stories of the parties they used to throw at Caleb's Grandparent’s old house on Emery Street. Steve, along with Aunt Michelle, come to many of Caleb’s band's shows, and always asks us to come up to the cabin in Chetek. Caleb will be up there for some ice fishing this winter, Uncle Steve!
Bridesmaid
Kimi met Addie through golf. Tracing it back, I believe the friendship started during a round at the Trempealeau County Women's Tournament. A group text message started and the Angry Beavers were born. That led to endless laughs, adventures, and sushi. Addie is always someone Kimi can depend on to lend an ear and hand. She also makes some dang cute kids who Kimi views as an additional niece and nephew.
Groomsman
Jake and Caleb met at Farm to Fork during one of the open mics. Since then, Jake has shown Caleb the wonder that is Gumby’s in Mondovi (yea Caleb won a ¼ barrel there!), has hosted many many more awesome open mics out at the farm, has always opened his door with food and drinks, and a futon to crash on in the basement. Jake is a good friend, and amazes us with his prolific songwriting and completely fresh outlook on the world!
Bridesmaid
One day, Andrea strolled into The Wellness Nook and immediately started her mission to buy Kimi's friendship. Kimi was confused by the outgoing and outspoken person who spent her lunch hours sipping teas and talking. Soon, Kimi realized that she looked forward to those lunch visits and actually LIKED Andrea! They are basically the same person, so what's not to love?? Andrea quickly became a confidant. Someone with a nonjudgmental ear, excellent advice, and hilarious stories. Congrats, Andrea! You've bought Kimi's friendship, love, and a place in her bridal party.
Groomsman
Daniel (DT or Dan) and Caleb have known each other since around 2007. The two were in bands together from 2007-2012, and again from 2018-present. DT has taught Caleb a lot about forgiveness, patience, and living in the moment! Caleb considers him a very close friend and is so happy to have him stand up at our wedding.
Bridesmaid
Heather and Kimi met in Middle School. They lived a house away from each other, and spent each morning walking together to school. If they had extra quarters and 5 minutes to spare, a stop at the grocery store for donuts was a MUST! That led to high school and nights of playing board games (which Kimi always won ;P), deer shining, and trips to Eau Claire for no real reason. Heather is an amazing listener and makes Kimi laugh without even trying!
Groomsman
Tim (or Timbo) and Caleb met through mutual friends and an interest in music. They graduated one year apart in High School, though at that time did not know each other. Tim will tell you he first saw Caleb playing mandolin at a bar in Eau Claire around 2005. The two have been great friends and have played in 3 bands together since 2006!
Junior Bridesmaid
Almost 11 years ago, Katelyn made Kimi an aunt. Since she first laid eyes on Katelyn, Kimi was putty in her little hands. Kimi loves being the fun aunt more than anything. And man... is Katelyn fun!! She is so quick witted on top of being incredibly smart and talented. Kimi is in denial that Katelyn is growing up, but is so proud to watch her grow into an amazing young woman.
Junior Groomsman
Walter first met Caleb when he was over recording music with Walter’s dad, Jake. Walter met Kimi first when he came over to her house after Osseo music in the park. He likes outdoor time, fishing, and catching crawly things. As a first time Junior Groomsmen, he is looking forward to “a good time” at the wedding.
Flower Girl
Kimi’s goddaughter. When Kimi held Sofie for the first time in the hospital room, she had no idea that such a big personality would come from such a tiny body. Sofie has brought so much joy into Kimi’s life. She knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to say it!
Ring Bearer
Kimi's nephew. Being the fun aunt is an exhausting job, but Wallace makes it easy. At 4 years old, he is a constant source of laughter and amazement. Spending any time around Wally, you will constantly wonder "how does he come up with this stuff??". He is so incredibly smart, witty, silly, sweet, and full of energy. Kimi can be found crying while looking at baby pictures of Wally trying to figure out how he went from a baby to boy over night. "Ca-loob" took on the role of fun uncle by playing the Imperial March while on FaceTime. Oh Wally Guy, you are so special and so loved.
Usher
Joe Kat. Broseph. Bro Montana. A man of many names, Joey is Kimi's favorite brother. He is the one who taught Kimi about the art of a deal from an early age. Like giving him the remote or he will do something to gross her out. Or convincing her to chip in for a Nintendo 64 that she never really got to play. Joey also has the best attributes of a big brother. He is encouraging, funny, and sends amazing memes. Kimi and Joey have a secret language where they find the same things funny when no-one else does. He is the father of Kimi's favorite niece. His humor and influence is seen in Katelyn. Watching them laugh together is one of Kimi's all time joys.
Personal Attendants
The HBs- IYKYK. Alicia, Bryann, Noelle, and Lexi Kimi's business confidants, sounding boards, support system, and friends. If there is something that needs to be done, these ladies are the first in line. With loving "assertiveness" of course. This group is overflowing with humor and love.
