The BURGH meets The LAND
One magical night in 2021, Kim (from Pittsburgh) stumbled upon a city called Cleveland when visiting a friend. She and her friend went to a dive bar where they encountered Kent and a group of his friends. It was during covid so everyone needed a seat, otherwise they had to leave. Kim and her friend let the group sit with them. They all exchanged small talk. Some of them were in a band to which Kim started following their Instagram account. It was a brief encounter and everyone went their separate ways. Kim back to Pittsburgh. Kent in Cleveland. No exchange of contacts. No thought of each other.
7 months later, Kim saw on Instagram the band was playing a show and she spontanously decided to drive to Cleveland to attend. When she was there, she recognized Kent from the first encounter and approched him. They ended up chatting all night until the venue closed. A spark was lit that night and they exhanged contacts this time. The rest is history!

They are forever loyal to their designated teams. No compromising there!
Camping at Put-in-Bay, OH with friends...when Kim discovered mayflies. Besides the mayflies, they love living near the Great Lakes!
Kim taught Kent how to snowboard. Now they conquer mountains every year like ones in Colorado and Vermont.
Kent's first time in Vietnam where they celebrated Lunar New Year with Kim's extended family. They will be returning soon to do a traditional Vietnamese wedding.
Kent proposed to Kim at Hocking Hills State Park on a relaxed camping weekend in Oct 2025. Kim was completely surprised!

Their engagement photos were taken at the Arcade in downtown Cleveland, an area they frequently go to for sports and other events.
Kent is a big fan of Lord of the Rings. They got to visit the filming locations in beautiful New Zealand!
Their cats, Merry and Pippin, are named after the hobbits from Lord of the Rings.
Pippin is a ferocious cat that loves hunting outside.

Merry is a softy that loves to cuddle and eat.

Pippin and Merry were adopted at 3 months old from the same litter. They are still very bonded to this day at almost 2 years old!
