Andrea Arbour

Co-Maid of Honour

Andrea isn't just my sister-in-law, but she's the sister I never had, but always wanted. I have known Andrea since I was 17 and she has seen me grow up into the woman I am today. She has been there for every school gradation- High School, Undergrad, Teacher's College cheering me on when I walked across the stage. She was by my side when I was on contracts for teaching to finally getting my dream job all while trying to understand teacher lingo...it's very confusing, but she did it! She is by far my #1 fan and continues to be to this day. She's also been there for the hard times- stress of school, heartbreak, and my dad's cancer diagnoses where she has provided support and unwavering love. Andrea is the most kind, loving, supportive, and beautiful person you will ever meet. Whether you are family, a friend or a stranger, Andrea treats everyone the same- like family...the Portuguese way. I am so honoured to have Andrea in my life and standing beside me on my big day as one of my Maid of Honours.

Cole Smith

Co-Best Man

For those who don't know Cole, I consider him the brother I never had. He's like another version of me but aged a year longer. We've been asked multiple times if we are twins, so to clarify things, he's the one that has strawberry blonde hair. You will always see us together laughing hysterically until we're both crying. From holding me as a baby to holding me now as full grown adult, nothing will tear us apart. Cole is the kind of person who you can call and he would be at your doorstep ready to help and support you with whatever is going on. His ability to light up a room and make a person smile is unmatched, so our reception will be LOTS of full with him around. Once I knew Kim and I were getting married, I knew without a doubt that Cole would be standing by my side as one of my Best Men. COLE'S MY BEST FRIEND!

Morgan Bates

Co-Maid of Honour

Morgan and I met in first year university when we both lived on the 3rd floor of Bricker Residence at Laurier. However, we didn't become friends until 3 years later. What started as two people working at the same research lab the summer of third year to fourth year quickly blossomed into our amazing friendship where I not only view Morgan as my best friend, but also a sister. We have been through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows together and I could not imagine my life without Morgan by my side. She is the person who I can call at anytime and she'll pick up the phone to listen to me vent, talk, cry, and not even make sense at times. Morgan is truly the peanut butter to my jelly and we are quite literally stuck with each other for life. I could not imagine another person to be the other Maid of Honour on my special day.

Rory Sitar

Co-Best Man

Rory and I have been friends since grade 7 and ever since we've been best friends. I can always count on him to play video games at any time. One time we played so late that my mom was getting up for work...it was 4am. We're so close that he was even my plus one for my sister Kayla's wedding in Cuba! He's also the buddy who I can call to go to the gym with to get some gains or to play a game of squash. Now in our adult years, we play volleyball and softball in some good old beer leagues! From time to time, we share the same interest in music by going to metal concerts and the memories we have at those concerts I will always remember and cherish. Just like the times Rory and I would drive 2 hours away for car parts for his Cobalt. Rory is that best friend who would do anything for you without hesitation, complaint or wanting anything in return. He always has my back and I can't think of a better best man to have next to me on this special day.

Kimberly Arbour

Bridesmaid

Yes, you are reading the name correct, and no I am not talking about myself. I am talking about Kim who I am so honoured to have as a sister-in-law. I remember the first time my brother told me about Kim and I laughed out loud because of course he found someone with the same name as me...Kims are just awesome! Kim is truly my bestie who understands my obsession with corgis, love for Pillsbury cookies, and supports my Lululemon addiction. She is always down to be a potatoe on the couch or go out and have the best time of our lives at Door 55. Another perk is that we can pick up each others packages with no problem since we have the same exact name...for now at least. I'm not only grateful to share a name with Kim, but I am grateful to have her in my life and standing by my side.

Corey Lavallee

Groomsman

Corey is my brother-in-law, but he feels more than that. I first met Corey when I was 9 years old when my sister Morgan started dating him. Corey has seen me grow up from the young boy he first met to the man I am today that it feels like he's my older brother. It's funny because my sister sometimes thought that when he would come over the house to see her, he would actually be coming over to hangout with me. My favourite memories with Corey are when we would stay up all night playing video games and eating a full box of mini pizzas with hot sauce. Being the annoying little brother, I would always try to wrestle Corey to which he would pin me and admit defeat. Now in our adult years, I cherish the time we play golf together and see who can hit the golf ball the furthest...I aways win. Glad to now be able to share this special day with him after all these years.

Linda Cabral

Bridesmaid

Linda is my oldest and dearest friendship that I have kept to this day. We met in Grade 9 Religion class in high school and have been inseparable ever since! No matter where life has taken us, different universities, living in different cities, we have always made time for each other. We have that type of friendship where we may not talk every day, but when we see each other for our monthly dinner dates, we pick up exactly where we left off without skipping a beat. Linda has quite literally seen me develop into the person I am and has never judged me, even with my questionable hair cuts in high school. I have known her for half of my life and I honestly can't picture my life without her in it or her not standing by my side on this big day.

Cam Exel

Groomsman

Cam is one the funniest people I know. I met him through Rory and ever since we met it was clear that we were meant to be friends. Having a lot of the same interest, we always have a blast together. Whether it's hitting the golf course or playing video games, I can always count on Cam to make me laugh. He's the kind of friend who is always willing to help you out whenever you need, but will never expect anything in return. One of my favourite memories with Cam is when we demolished his kitchen when he was renovating his house. It was something so simple, but the company, drinks, and laughs were priceless. He's truly someone I will close for a very long time and who I cherish our friendship. I could not be happier to have him be a part of my big day.

Tamara Bartlett

Bridesmaid

I met Tam in first year university when we both lived in 306 in Bricker Residence at Laurier. I like to think that fate brought Tam and I together and we just haven't left each others side ever since. Tam is the little sister I never had or thought I needed, but ended up loving and was the missing piece in my life. In fact, Tam is one of the reasons Zack and I are together. It was fourth year and we were sitting in our kitchen when I told Tam about this guy who I was talking to. I didn't know if I wanted to pursue anything further because I had just gotten out of a relationship a few months ago and I was in my single girl era. After a lengthy chat, she helped me realize that I should give Zack the opportunity. Ever since that day, I have never looked back and I am so grateful for Tam's advice. It also worked out in her favour because it gave her a friend to play Mario Kart with while I was in class and Zack was over the house waiting for me. Our love story wouldn't have started without Tam, so it's only fitting that she stand by my side to see the grand finale of a love story she has been following for 6+ years.

Jarret Marx

Groomsman

Jarret is my other brother-in-law. He's a little older, but honestly I feel like he's sometimes younger than me. He definitely knows how to party. There's been countless times I went out drinking with him and my sister Kayla that I can't even remember....uh oh. In high school, Jarret let me take his Dodge Viper to school and prom which was pretty cool for a 17 year-old. Jarret is also wise, so it's nice to have him by my side to be able to talk about things and learn from him. I love the way he's alway striving to do more. It inspires me to be open-minded about things and to always strive for more. Can't wait to share this special day with him.

Gillian Whorms

Bridesmaid

I met Gill in first year university as she too was my roommate when we lived in Bricker Residence at Laurier. Gill was the mystery roommate who we could not get in contact with prior to our move in date and had planned to put a hot tub in her room. Low and behold, Gill would turn into one of my best friends and be a friendship I forever cherish. She was the one who helped keep me grounded when it came to school and always make me want to do well in my classes. Her love for mug cakes and DQ cakes was unmatched and made for great roomie bonding when we would go to DQ to get a cake to share. Gill is that friend who is quiet but is always cheering loud for your accomplishments and achievements. There is no other person I would love by my side cheering me on during my big day!

Will Edmondson

Groomsman

Will and I met way back in elementary school. We haven't always been close friends, but we always got along with one another. It wasn't until a couple years after high school that we started to talk and hang out. From that moment on, we've become great friends and shared a lot of amazing memories together. Will introduced me to Electric Dance Music (EDM) festivals/raves where we would frequently spend weekends in Toronto attending them. It was during these raves we would try to shuffle together...we failed. Now in our adult years, Will and I indulge in Sunday Football and fantasy leagues where we yell at underperforming players. Will is the type of guy who would take his shirt off and give it to me on my wedding when I spill something on it so Kim doesn't get mad. I cannot wait to have Will standing by my side.
