We actually went to high school together and were friends, but by coincidence, we ended up at the same college. When Zac got dropped off in the middle of New York, the first thing he did was reach out to Kim—who had already been there a week for soccer—because, shocker, he was starving and totally helpless on his own. Luckily, Kim swooped in like a lifesaver and made sure he didn’t waste away on day one. One meal later, he basically never left her side… and the rest is history.

It took Zac a while to finally ask Kim out. He claimed he was just “waiting for the stars and moon to align”—but really, he was holding out for Leap Day. That’s why he insists they’ve technically only been dating for two years…even though it’s been a whole decade —because nothing says “commitment” like creative math.
