Kim and Will met in college at a charity bubble soccer tournament. Despite Will's mediocre bubble soccer performance, mutual friend Laura convinced Kim to let Will take her out for waffles.
After graduation, Will moved back to Chicago for law school, and Kim joined him after a year home in Boston. In January 2020, we adopted Chatham from a fantastic Chicago rescue league, One Tail at a Time. After Will graduated, it was Kim's turn for law school after moving to DC where Will started practicing.
We are so excited to be getting married at President Lincoln's Cottage in DC. The Lincoln family used the cottage as a summer retreat during the presidency and it is where President Lincoln drafted the Emancipation Proclamation. Now a museum, the Cottage is both a lovely event venue and also an informative and engaging attraction in its own right. Thanks to Will's sister Erin for creating the beautiful drawing of the Cottage below in celebration of the space where we are excited to have the opportunity to celebrate with you all!
