FAQs

Question

What’s the dress code?

Answer

We invite you to dress in semi-formal attire suited for an outdoor beach setting. A button-down dress shirt with slacks or chinos, a sundress, cocktail dress, or dressy jumpsuit is perfect. As we will be on the sand, we recommend footwear like wedges, block heels, flats, or dressy sandals. You may also want to bring sunglasses and a light wrap or jacket, as it can get breezy by the water.

Question

How will everyone get from the ceremony to the reception?

Answer

For those with cars, the reception is an easy 10-minute drive from the ceremony. For those without cars, we will have transportation available from the ceremony to the reception. Please note in your RSVP whether you will require transportation.

Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

We recommend two options: Budget-friendly: Best Western Harbour Inn & Suites A comfortable, relaxed option close to the beach with free breakfast and easy parking. Splurge: Hyatt Regency Huntington Beach Resort & Spa A gorgeous beachfront resort with pools, restaurants, and spa. We’re also happy to help you find Airbnbs nearby or even connect people who want to share an Airbnb to help with costs. Just let us know!

Question

What airport should I fly into?

Answer

The closest airports are Long Beach Airport (LGB) and John Wayne Airport (SNA). Both airports are about 30 minutes away from the wedding location. If you can, we recommend flying into LGB or SNA! For more flight options, including international flights, you can also fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). Los Angeles is about an hour away from the wedding location.

Question

Should I rent a car?

Answer

You’re welcome to rent a car, but if you’re staying in the Long Beach or Orange County area, you likely won’t need one for the whole trip. Rideshares are plentiful! You may want to rent a car for the day if you’re planning to explore Los Angeles or take a day trip down to San Diego.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Please plan to arrive 10-15 minutes before the ceremony start time so you have time to park, find your seat, and get settled.

Question

Will there be parking?

Answer

Yes, both the ceremony and the reception locations have parking available.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We’d love for you to be fully present — please keep phones away during the ceremony. Our photographer will capture everything!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Long Beach is usually mild and sunny (~mid-to-high 70s in October), but evenings can be cooler. We recommend bringing a light jacket or wrap.
