Not really a destination, but a helpful corner store chain with thousands of locations across Mexico. This is a good place to go for snacks, drinks, forgotten travel items, coffee, or alcohol. Some even have hot food stands inside, and they all accept credit card.
Mazatlán is first and foremost a beach town. Almost all of the beaches are public and we encourage you to take advantage of your time there and the beautiful sunsets. Most hotels also have pools overlooking the beach for those not looking to get sandy.
Plazuela Machado is a beautiful town square in the Historic Downtown part of Mazatlán with lots of restaurants, bars, and shops around it. We highly recommend having a meal or a drink at one of the places there and walking around if you have the time!
Enjoy the delicious food of Sinaloa! Particularly the seafood :)
Mazatlan has an observatory with beautiful views of the ocean and beach. It also has an aviary, a whale museum, and a restaurant. To get to the observatory you take a funicular car up to it, you can get tickets at the observatory's website linked here but for tours catered to English speaking people we suggest looking online at sites such as: https://www.getyourguide.com/mazatlan-l808/mazatlan-observatorio-1873-cultural-nature-experience-t892186/ We recommend shopping around as different tours include access to different parts of the observatory!
