I first “met” Noah in the fall of 2018 while he was working at my favorite bookstore. I put the quotation marks because I didn’t actually ever meet him, I just knew he worked there and thought he was so cute. All my best friends ended up hearing about this bookstore boy and my distant crush on him, and a year later in fall 2019 I ended up meeting this boy at a house show, coincidentally. I met Kimberly for the first time at a local house show (a small gathering of local musicians at an apartment complex near the UTSA campus.) I was working as a media intern for the non-profit running the event & saw that she also had a camera with her. As I sat down next to her and we introduced ourselves, her beautiful brown eyes met mine and the show began. We began hanging out more frequently late spring of 2020, and shared many similar interests. Talking about our love for Jesus, photography and music lead us on many adventures to art museums, beautiful historic neighborhoods, thrift stores & coffee shops. We learned a lot about each other that summer, from favorite foods to childhood memories, and everything in between. On August 22nd, 2020 we stood under a gazebo at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens to prevent us from getting wet from the rain and it felt like God had snapped His fingers and gave us feelings for one another. We prayed and sought wise counsel and on Noveber 5th, 2020 we began dating, and a year and four months later we got engaged!
