We’re getting married!

After much rearranging, the wedding ceremony will now be held at the Rose Garden! It will be a small, intimate ceremoney with Melvin and Kimberly’s closest family and friend’s. They are saddened that much of their friend’s and family will not be able to be there. However, there will be a grand reception one year following on their anniversary. They plan to make it a BIG party and will be held at the original wedding cite. Thank you for everyone’s continued patience and support. Melvin and Kimberly feel very blessed to have you all in their lives.

Cole and Kimi (what their friends call them) first laid eyes on each other at a mutual friend’s 21st birthday celebration. They had obviously just met, but came to find out that they knew many of the same people and had been at the same events without ever realizing. It seems that fate was just waiting for the right time. They fell for each other instantly and although Kimi was playing hard-to-get, Cole was persistant and asked if he could take her out the very next day. The rest is history.

Cole told Kimi that he had been planning a night for his parents and her mom to all go out to a nice dinner. He had made arrangements for the next Saturday evening at Brix Tavern in their private dining room. He suggested that they spend the day together and then join their parent’s at the restaurant. He wanted Kimi to get her nails done and he needed a haircut. For a brief moment, Kimi wondered if he was planning to propose, but concluded that it wasn’t that weird for him to want them all to go out to dinner and he really did need a haircut. The day of, the two went out to La Provence for brunch and enjoyed sipping chocolate and a mimosa flight. Afterwards they headed to the barbers, where there happened to be a nail salon right next door. Once they were looking dapper, they headed into portland and walked around the Pearl District until their reservation. They made it to the restaurant where their parents were waiting for them. Cole could hardly contain himself that as soon as everyone was done hugging and hello-ing, Kimi turned around to find him on one knee with the most beautiful ring she had ever seen! They popped a bottle of champagne and enjoyed the evening in celebration with loved one’s.
