Kimberly & Marion

Bride and Groom

Natasha Robinson

Matron of Honor

I’m Natasha. I’ve called Kim my best friend for over 30 years. We are more than just a title. I'm her partner-in-crime, and sister-at-heart. We went from riding bikes together, having children together, to forming our own families together. We’ve shared laughter, tears, and unforgettable memories. We have conquered so much together. I’ve witnessed her grow into a phenomenal woman. I’m honor to have the pleasure to stand by her side on her wedding day!

Detries Carter

Maid of Honor

Hey Everyone. My name is Dede Jackson. I’ve known our little soon-to-be bride for about 17yrs now. We met in the Order Of Eastern Star Organization and she quickly went from being my Sistar to one of my Best Friends. Whenever I’m up or down, Kim is there. Whenever I’m happy or sad, Kim is there. Whenever I need to be told to shut up or speak up, Kim is there. Every single time I was ever lost in traffic (at times in the middle of nowhere), Kim was there LBVS. I said all of this to say that no matter what I go through, I know I can always count on Kim to either smile with me through it or pray for me to get me through it. Year after year our bond would get tighter due to having similar struggles with being single mothers of two children while being career-focused and trying our best to figure out the hands we were dealt in life. Needless to say, we both handled business like the strong black women we are. I knew that one day both of our Boaz would come to find us and now look, my friend has a smile and a glow on her face and in her heart that I knew one day would happen for her. And for that I thank God for bringing AC into her life to give her the kind of happiness she deserves. There’s so many good attributes that comes to mind when describing Kim ie. ambitious, dependable, strong-willed, considerate, determined, encouraging, beautiful (inside & out), but the one word I’m lucky enough to call her is “MY FRIEND!”

Oranetta Jackson

Bridesmaid

As the cousin of the beautiful bride, Kimberly Jackson, I want to take a moment to celebrate her. Kimberly, your selflessness and the warmth you share with everyone in your life is truly remarkable. Your smile has a way of embracing those around you, making them feel special. I’ll always remember our childhood adventures—playing on the monkey bars and climbing window lids. Your determination and spirit shines bright, and every weekend spent at your house was a joy. You introduced me to your world of friends, who welcomed me with open arms, and those moments are cherished memories. Your heart is pure, and it reflects in the love you give to everyone. I’m so grateful to have you in my life. Congratulations on this beautiful day!

Bridesmaid

Kimberly and I are Eastern Star Sisters. I met Kimberely years ago through my Brother mmmCharlie. Upon meeting her, I knew that there was something special about this Sister. Prior to me becoming an OES Sister, Kim always treated me as if I was already part of the organization with kindness and love. Over the years we have become closer in Sisterly love, and I love her like a little Sister. We are connected by God's love for one another and I am proud to partake in this special event.

Tirona Britton

Bridesmaid

Kim became my friend by default through Tash. However, over the years you’ve become my personal sister/friend. I remember meeting you when you were in 5th grade. Hanging out in Woodgate with you and Tash was always fun. Growing up together we’ve witness good & bad times. Looking at your smile, your shine, & your spark honey brings joy to my heart. I’m excited for you & Im honored that you selected me to be apart of your special day. I love you Tirona

Priscilla Wright

Bridesmaid

Patient Liaison at Northwestern Medicine. I’m a proud mom of 3 young men and 4 grandchildren. Love to travel and love friend and family gatherings. My favorite things are charity, tacos, the color pink, a good drink, music, and fun! I first met Kim back in 2013 in passing at a Grand Chapter meeting. I don’t think we started hanging out till maybe around 2015/2016. We grew closer over the years as we experienced trials and tribulations. Life changes, growing families, and family loss. It only made us appreciate each other more. We are a lot alike I must say! That’s why we tend to bump heads from time to time. A sister can agree to disagree and still love each other! Friends are family members whom we get to choose. People we pick to be a part of our lives. I must say that I’m glad that she’s a part of my life to this day as she has been there through thick and thin. Always a call away. A motivator, full of humor, and always got my back. It’s always comforting to know what type of people you have in your corner, especially when they show their loyalty. Being the beautiful and intelligent woman that she is today, I’m proud to stand by her side on one of the most beautiful, exciting, and unforgettable moments in her life!

Lenell Townson

Man of Honor

Marion and I have over 40yrs together, As I think back and recall the fragments of my memory that were very instrumental and pivotal in my earlier years, one memory stands out very clearly in my mind, which is the time Boo, and I first met. Our introduction in the beginning, was very unconventional. That particular night, one of two things was going to happen: either we were going to become bitter rivals or the best of friends, and there was no in-between. But as God would have it, we have 40-plus years of friendship and brotherhood that would stand the test of time. Boo was and still is a very good friend who has always had my back I remember back in the day when my son mother and I was 19 and moved into our first apartment. This came with struggles that she and I were unprepared for, and friends like Boo who helped us get through those difficult times.my girlfriend and I could barely afford groceries, and she did not know how to cook. So, Boo used to come over and show her how to prepare and cook small meals that we could get full from. like fried eggs & diced potatoes that became one of our favorite meals, so much so that we used to always joke about it being the eggs and potatoes that would eventually lead to my son being born because of the potency from the eggs and potatoes together. Fast forward to today, our paths has changed, and our lifestyles are different, but one thing that always remains the same is the love that the core of our brotherhood originated from.
