Kimberly and Joseph first met through an online app called Tinder. The first conversation started with a cheesy pickup line and blossomed into a first date at the local Panera Bread. On the night of Valentine’s day Joseph waited until after midnight to ask Kimberly to be his girlfriend, to avoid the cliche Valentine’s day romanticism. From there the combined love of sports and hanging out made for a happy dating period. In the following months Kimberly and Joseph took trips to Chicago, Detroit and numerous football games, including Michigan State and Notre Dame games. Saturdays in the fall are spent with each other watching games while the occasional friendly jab is thrown around to help keep the rivalry alive. In June of 2019 Kimberly and Joseph got a puppy, little June was introduced to the household and instantly was attracted to Kimberly from the moment she got brought home. While it took a minute to warm up to Joseph, she did and now lives happily with her parents. In early August of 2020 while doing a weekly tradition of golfing, Joseph and Kimberly were playing their round together, Kimberly figured something was wrong as Joseph was not playing well throughout the day. That is when on the 8th hole Joseph got down on one knee and professed his love for Kimberly, asking her to marry him. Kimberly plans on pursuing a degree in nursing and hopes to one day become a nurse practitioner to work with pediatrics. While Joseph is planning on graduating with a bachelor’s in journalism and becoming a sports writer for anyone who will take him.
