Jonas and I met at our local Party City where we had both just started our first part-time jobs as teenagers. We bonded over our shared interests while working chaotic, late-night Halloween shifts and inflating many a balloon. One year, I was invited to the famous biennial Surovec family Halloween party where Jonas introduced me to his friends and all of the neighborhood cats. I also attended his high school graduation party, where we spent the evening celebrating, star gazing, and realizing how much we enjoy being together. We started hanging out more outside of work, showing each other around our hometowns and seeking out the best milkshakes in Centre County. In July of 2015, two years after we first met, we officially became a couple. Being young, part-time workers who couldn't drive, our first date was spent taking an early bus to watch a bargain showing of The Lego Movie and walking across the street to the Nittany Mall. Over the next eight years, we would grow both as individuals and as a couple. We got our drivers licenses, full time jobs, and eventually, our first apartment together. On August 2nd, 2023, Jonas proposed in the gazebo at Talleyrand Park in Bellefonte, a place where we spent many of our early dates. I enthusiastically said, "Yes!" We're so excited to tie the knot and hope you can join us as we celebrate the start of the rest of our lives.
