It all started with an Instagram DM in November 2021—from Jason to Kimberly. At the time, neither of us could have imagined that a simple Instagram message would eventually lead us here. The funny thing is, we both grew up in the North Dallas area, but somehow our paths never crossed. We went to different schools—Kimberly at Langston University and Jason at Oklahoma State University—and lived our own lives, completely unaware we'd eventually find each other. Looking back, we know it was God’s timing. A few months after that first DM, we went on our first date in January 2022. We grabbed Mexican food (Jason’s favorite—not Kimberly’s), and what was supposed to be a casual lunch turned into spending the entire day together. We were having such a good time that neither of us wanted the day to end. And just like that, the rest was history. Since that first date, we’ve shared so much of life together. We’ve traveled to new places, had adventures we’ll never forget, met each other's families, celebrated the highs, supported each other through the lows, and made countless memories along the way. Somewhere between the big moments and all the ordinary ones, we fell in love and built a life that feels like home. When we look back at how we found each other, it’s hard not to see God’s hand in every detail. We grew up in the same area, crossed paths with so many of the same places and people, and somehow met at exactly the right time. What started with an Instagram DM became a first date, then countless adventures, and ultimately the best adventure of our lives: building a life together. And now, we get to make it official.
