It was June of 2021. COVID had forced both Kim and Demitri to move home. Kim was working at Bryn Mawr College and Demitri was working at Guitar Center. After the vaccine came out, Kim felt more comfortable with the thought of going on dates again. She downloaded Hinge and came across Demitri's profile. Although his profile was pretty bare apart from a few photos, Kim thought he was cute so thought "I'll give him a like." Not too long after, Demitri "liked" Kim back. Kim sent the first message and they responded back and forth within the app for a few days. They exchanged numbers and then Demitri sent Kim an MP3 file of him singing an original song. She was intrigued and thought they should meet up. On June 4, 2021, Kim and Demitri met up in West Chester, PA at The Social. They ate dinner, went to Kildare's, then sat on the steps at the corner of High and Market until the early hours of the morning. That night, they knew they were in love and never spent another day without each other. One month later, Demitri asked Kim to be his girlfriend at Nalu in Rehoboth Beach, DE on July 4th. Three years later, Demitri proposed in Nashville, TN on August 7, 2024. Over the years, Kim has supported Demitri is all of his music endeavors and Demitri has supported Kim through her work and her doctoral program at West Chester University.
