I've always known that some day I'd find the right person for me. A person who would love me the way I am. A person who would care for me and nurture me the way I'd like to. A person that would go out of their way to make sure I'm good. Someone who is loyal, sweet, caring, and most importantly, true to himself. True to his values, his morals, and ethics, and doesn't let anything or anyone negatively change or influence who he is and what he stands for the most. To be honest, I never had a feeling where and when I'd meet this person, I just knew at the right time, God would bring us together. Unknowingly, that someone came into my life, at a place I'd never imagine meeting the love of my life at. Towards the end of 2015, he noticed me at a gas station where I like to play lottery numbers from time to time, which is when he would say little corny flirtatious pick-up lines, in hopes to pursue me and initiate something between us. He had asked me out to dinner a couple times, and although I found it a little sweet and appealing, I didn't really make anything out of it. Fast forward a couple years I figured l'd give it a shot. It was the October 2nd of 2017 where we went on our first official date. That same night, I told my best friend, and the mother of my godchildren who was at a restaurant right beside me that if anything were to go wrong, to bail me out as soon as possible. And manifestly, that did not happen. I could not have asked for a more perfect night. Before we had ate, he held my hand nice and gently and he said grace, and we proceeded through the night. From that point forward, I had the feeling that this was it, this was the man I'd dreamt of since a little girl. This was the person I had imagined that God would bring into my life. And evidently so, our feelings towards each other were mutual, as he proposed to me on Father's Day of 2021. From meeting at a gas station trying to pick the right numbers for the lottery, I realized that I already won it. Ever since the first night we went on a date together at Chili's, to the night on Father's Day at Alpaca Chicken, and up until now and forever more, we won the jackpot.
