There will still be snow but it typically starts to get warmer by the end of March. We recommend bringing winter gear (especially if you want to do any winter activities) and having winter boots.
Weather permitting the ceremony will take place OUTSIDE on the deck of the Champagne Powder Room located at 10,000 feet.
We recommend staying at The Steamboat Grand Hotel as it is within walking distance from the gondola. However, any lodging that is close to the base area is also recommended. Other options include The Sheraton and The Ptarmigan. There are also lots of AirBnB's located by the base area.
A gondola from the Steamboat ski base will transport you to the ceremony and reception. The ceremony and reception will be in the same place. You will be responsible for getting yourself to the base area. There is parking nearby.
The drive from Denver takes about 3.5 hours and goes over a high mountain pass. Unless you are comfortable driving in the snow, we do not recommend driving to Steamboat. If you opt to drive, we recommend having a car with 4-wheel drive and snow tires. Shuttles from Denver Airport are available with Go Alpine.
