In the chaos of the world, fate quietly placed us in each other’s path. We met how anyone does these days, swiping right, both a little jaded yet still hoping this might be the last time we’d have to survive the “so what do you like to eat?” conversation. Casey explaining he loves almost everything (well he says he doesn’t, but he loves so many things- he detests ketchup, peas and chicken livers) and Kimberly despises-well almost everything else (no she does not want your vegetables/mayo/ranch/or any mysterious condiments). Somewhere between late night messages, endless conversations, and more than one (or two) late night rescues, we found home in each other. It has been two years of this journey together with light-hearted highs, sorrow-filled lows, days of joy, and days in need of a little extra patience… but that’s what sharing your life with someone truly is. Some days the skies are bright and full of sunshine, some days the storms roll in and bring dark clouds. No matter what weather the future brings, together we will withstand it all, side by side.
