Our Story

9.10.20 - Started Dating 1.13.24 - Engaged!! 11.14.26 - The Big Day If there's one thing we've learned over the years, it's that life is meant to be celebrated—and thankfully, we've found the perfect person to celebrate it with. Our story began in the middle of the pandemic, when the world had slowed down and uncertainty seemed to surround everyone. In the midst of it all, we found each other. What started with a first date at Charlie Brown's during Lexington's Burger Week quickly turned into something neither of us could have imagined. From the very beginning, we've made a habit of saying "yes" to life together. Whether it's concerts and sporting events, birthdays and anniversaries, lake days and holidays on the pontoon, or spontaneous adventures with friends and family, we've spent the last several years creating traditions and making memories that have become the foundation of our relationship. Some of our favorite memories are the ones that seem ordinary but mean the most—our first Halloween together in Hazard, annual New Year's Eve trips to Nashville, gathering around tables with the people we love, and hosting our very first Friendsgiving. Along the way, our little family grew, too. Ryder and Smokie learned to coexist under one roof, and somehow, we all became one big happy family. We've celebrated milestones, supported one another through new chapters, and learned that a strong relationship is built by pouring into each other every day. Sometimes that means giving a little more, sometimes it means leaning on one another, but always choosing each other. By the time we say "I do," we'll have spent six years together. And while the years have flown by, one thing remains certain: our greatest memories haven't come from extraordinary moments—they've come from simply doing life together. And we can't wait to keep making memories, celebrating the little things, and writing the next chapter of our story—together.
