Lights, Camera, I do!

A wedding fit for Hollywood.

Kimberly and Benjamin have worked on various shows together for the last 3 years at the Carlisle Theatre. Their friendship started building overtime, but they got particularly close during the murder mystery “Columbo Calamity, Just One More Thing!” Kimberly was tasked with giving Ben a Gene Wilder like hair style. Little did they know it would take 4 hours each time to get Ben’s hair in thousands of little curls. To pass the time they would talk about plays they wanted to see and direct, favorite shows, and their love of puppetry. The Great Gonzo once sang "there's not a word yet for old friends who've just met" this is exactly the right phrase for the chemistry between these two. They continued to talk throughout the summer about theatre, Muppets, SpongeBob, and Memes. They were very playful with each other and did funny things. For example during the Theatre’s summer camp Kimberly hid cookies in the tech booth in a brown paper bag for Ben that said “Definitely not cookies.” He found this quite funny and kept the bag. Ben stopped Kimberly from leaving after a performance for an hour in the parking lot to show her a “torso” he borrowed from his brother. In typical Ben and Kimberly fashion they ended up talking for an hour and were interrupted by Caroline telling her mom “Tell Ben to stop flirting so we can go to McDonald’s.” They also attended plays together that, and supported each other’s performances. One night last summer they were walking through town talking about everything under the sun when suddenly the sky broke open and started pouring down rain, and like in any good movie they kissed. (Neither one of them knows who initiated this and still to this day they do not agree on who kissed who first.) However, after that night they became pretty much inseparable. In February of 2025. Benjamin started throwing around the idea of getting married. Kimberly was delighted and loved the idea. They both thought they were talking about an engagement months in the future. After looking at some rings online, Benjamin took Kimberly to Zales to see what the prospective ring looked like in person. Once Kimberly tried on the “dream ring” he knew he had to buy it. A few weeks later Kimberly and Ben went on a Valentine’s Day adventure. Kimberly was blind folded for each surprise event Ben had planned. They ended up on top of a mountain in the middle of the night where they had watched the northern lights months before. Benjamin turned to Kimberly and said “This place is a little creepy, want to go back home?” So they left. The next morning it was snowing and they went on a walk. Benjamin had written “Will you Marry Me?” in the snow and handed Kimberly the brown paper bag she used in the summer to hide cookies that said in black sharpie marker “Definitely not cookies…” When she opened it up it was the ring from Zales. Benjamin got on one knee and popped the question.
