If you’re flying into Baltimore from BWI, the Guinness Open Gate Brewery and Barrel House is only 8 minutes away from the airport, and on the route to The Admiral Fell Inn. They offer free brewery tours, and have an on-site taproom, experimental brewery and beer garden.

Rumor has it that The Horse You Came In On Saloon is haunted by Edgar Allan Poe, and is colloquially known in Baltimore as “Poe’s Last Stop”. Poe was found dead in the street in front of The Horse after spending his night at the drinking at the saloon. The Horse is also the oldest continually operating bar in America, having opened in 1775. This colonial-era dive bar has live music 7 nights a week and is conveniently located next door to The Admiral Fell Inn.
