We’re Getting Married!!

We met on the online dating website Plenty of Fish.

I had all but given up on online dating and finding love. I decided to give Plenty of Fish another try. This bald guy with amazing eyes came across my feed, something about his eyes made me want to reach out to him. From there we chated. There was a brief time between when we first started talking and when we met that we did not speak. Finally on June 4, 2019 we met. I picked a local restaurant in the town my “brother from another mother” worked in. I knew he was working that evening and if need be, i could call on him. Rich pulled up next to my car in the parking lot, he was on the phone and i could hear a woman talking (thank you bluetooth!), i would later come to find it was his mom he was speaking with. We enjoyed our evening, but i wasn’t sure it would go anywhere. The next day, Rich text me and asked if i wanted to get together over the weekend (ummm hello, didn’t he hear about the 48 hour rule?! Lol), i told him i was heading down the shore and would not be around this weekend, he suggested we met for coffee on my lunch and we did. I was a tough nut to crack, very jaded, burned, hurt, & lacking trust. I basically told Rich if you want to see where this can go, you’re gonna have to do the work.. It took a while, but Rich pushed thru my walls and was a man of his word. It didn’t take too long (he may say differently lol) for me to realize this one is a keeper.. And here we are!

As I was about to close my account I came across a very pretty blonde. Read her profile and what grabbed my attention besides her smile, was her selflessness to dedicate to the organization she is a Officer of Adopt A Solider Platoon. I instantly messaged Kim I remember Kim saying on our first date, I have never dated a bald guy and with tattoos. Guess I convinced her to give a bald guy with tattoos a chance haha 🙂 Kim had been hurt in a previous relationship. She asked me to be patient. I had no issue with that because I did not want to jump into anything. I knew Kim was going to be like an onion and I had to peel back one layer at time. Well it was worth it!

On Easter we were hosting brunch. Rich said he had a funny easter card for me. He gave me a bag, in it were a couple vouchers and a card. I opened the card and then Rich said there was another voucher.. the voucher said “please open” and on the inside rich wrote “will you spend a thousand years with me?” And next thing i knew he was down on one knee. I was stunned. I never saw it coming. Of course i said yes ♥️
