Facts about Puerto Morelos and the area

Puerto Morelos is a small, laid-back fishing village in the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, boasting a population of about 19,000 residents. Located halfway between Cancún and Playa del Carmen, it is highly walkable and maintains a relaxed, non-resort town feel. -La Colonia (The Mainland): Located on the west side of Federal Highway 307. This is the residential inland area where you will find local shops, authentic food markets, and the majority of the year-round local population. -El Puerto (The Beachside): The tourist and hotel zone sits directly on the Caribbean coast. It is compact, measuring only about 4 blocks wide and 15 blocks long, making it extremely easy to navigate on foot. Its coral reef is part of the second largest barrier reef in the world. Located only 500 meters from the beach, it is ideal for scuba diving, windsurfing, and snorkeling, among other marine activities.

We will have a car and will try to accommodate picking up as many guests as we can based on when you are arriving as we will be at the hotel on Wed. Reservations must be made at least 3 days in advance on weekdays and 4 days in advance on weekends, prior to arrival. Come dance the night away with us in your best beach formal. Men can wear summer suits or crisp linen trousers with a collared shirt (no tie required). Women can wear elegant maxi or midi dresses. For footwear, dressy sandals or wedges are highly recommended over stilettos. Please leave the jeans and sneakers behind, but get ready to be comfortable!

April brings excellent, dry spring weather with daily high temperatures averaging around 85F and comfortable overnight lows of 72F. It is a fantastic time to visit, characterized by plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and a soft, cooling ocean breeze.

Yes! We love your kids and cant wait to have them join us! The hotel is kid friendly and features a Kids Club and Teens Club. We do not have a gift registry as your presence is gift enough. We are blessed to have everything we need to start our lives together, but if you’re feeling particularly generous we would love for you to contribute to our honeymoon fund so we can create memories that last a lifetime, since we are choosing experiences over things.
