“We’re getting married”

The excitement from being at a new school in a new area quickly came with new love. It was often that we would pass each other in the hallway with just a cordial "Hey!" I didn't think much of it. DeAndre would send messages to me by the PE coach. I would smile. After a while, DeAndre would make "slick jokes" in our passing. Around September, we ran across each other while departing for the weekend and got caught in a longer than normal conversation. He gave me his number and told me to text him. I simply sent a "." to his number just so he would have my number. Don't yall know I didn't hear from him that weekend. It was Labor Day weekend. I didn't get a response back until the night before it was time to return to work. Come to find out it was his birthday weekend and he got...well let's say he had a good time. This was the start of the communication via text. WE quickly learned each other's love language and that was through sports! Fast forward to our first date on October 5, 2019. We went to the State Fair and had a blast!
