Russell's friend, Jaime, got two extra tickets to Waltz On The Wild Side fundraiser at the Tulsa Zoo. She called him up and told him to "find a date". Russ called his sister, Stephanie, and asked if her best friend, Kimberlee, was seeing anyone at the time. Luckily for them both, Kim was single. Russ called her up and she agreed to the date....... and the rest is history.
The final gift for Kimberlee on this Christmas morning was an irreplaceable family heirloom. As Gavin and Mason gathered around, Russell presented Kimberlee with a small box which held Russell's belated grandmother's wedding ring inside. The box opened, Russell asked, "Will you marry me?" The boys chimed in, "Yeah, mom, will you marry him??" Kimberlee placed the perfectly sized ring onto her finger and said "Yes". All four embraced in a family hug and the engagement was official.
In the midst of the pandemic, we felt compelled to "make it official" in a small, private, backyard ceremony on 9/25/2020. This date was significant because it was Russell's Nana LaHoma & Grand Daddy Drue's wedding anniversary date (09/25/1949). And now we want to CELEBRATE with all of you!
Join us for a WEDDING CEREMONY AND CELEBRATION on 09/04/21 at 7:00pm. Dinner and dancing will follow the ceremony. We can't wait to see you! **While you know we adore your children, we hope that you will come enjoy a night of relaxation and uninhibited revelry. Due to budgetary necessity rather than choice, coupled with the serving of alcohol during the reception, we highly discourage the attendance of children under the age of 10 (wedding party exceptions are included by name on your invitation). We thank you in advance for your understanding**
