Just go. You know you want to.

Visitor Center at Shelby Farms Park

Visitor Center at Shelby Farms Park

6903 Great View Drive North, Memphis, TN 38120

Shelby Farms is very close to the church. It’s a huge area of green space if you want to stop and walk around a lake after getting into town or before heading out!

Memphis Botanic Garden

Memphis Botanic Garden

750 Cherry Road, Memphis, TN 38117

This place is beautiful! 10/10 recommend!

Second Editions Bookstore

Second Editions Bookstore

3030 Poplar Avenue, Memphis, TN 38111

This is an incredible Friends of the Library bookstore! If you get to town early or choose to stay into Saturday, the bookstore is open from 10-5. (Look inside the front covers for the prices. That stumped Kimber when we went together.)

Sugar Ghost Ice Cream and Bubble Tea

Sugar Ghost Ice Cream and Bubble Tea

2615 Broad Avenue, Memphis, TN 38112

This place is so good! We went on a date here once and met friends here after the proposal. If you like ice cream and/or bubble tea, this is a go-to spot for sure!

Memphis Zoo

Memphis Zoo

2000 Prentiss Place, Memphis, TN 38112

We went here for a date before the New Year. Kimber also tries to go once a year with students just to hang out and explore.

Graceland

Graceland

Elvis Presley Boulevard, Memphis, TN 38116

I have never been, but maybe I will one day! If you’re interested in checking out Elvis’s house, then look no further. (I’ve heard it’s expensive, though. You’ve been warned. 😅)

The Peabody Memphis

The Peabody Memphis

149 Union Avenue, Memphis, TN 38103

They have the BEST hot chocolate. I visited for the first time with Lucas and his parents, and it was so fun to take pictures and explore.

Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid

Bass Pro Shops at the Pyramid

1 Bass Pro Drive, Memphis, TN 38105

Just because I know some of you want to, we recommend you stop at Bass Pro even if you just want to see the pyramid itself. There’s a lot inside the pyramid, though, so maybe stick around and stare at a fish a while or go bowling.

National Civil Rights Museum

National Civil Rights Museum

450 Mulberry Street, Memphis, TN 38103

We visited with Lucas’s mom and Kimber’s sister, McKenzie. If you’re in town for a minute, it’s definitely worth it!
