Charlotte is the best airport to fly into, is a short 15 minute ride to the city or hotels, so you shouldn't need to rent a car

You can call directly to make a reservation under “Collins/Speer Wedding” or make the reservation through the website. Once you select the dates you can click on add special rates code” and enter the code “CSW” There will be a shuttle to and from the hotel for the wedding, but Uber’s are also available (venue is about 3 miles from the hotel and South Park area bars) Shuttle times are 3:45 pm and 4:15 pm before the wedding and 10:15, and 10:45 after the wedding. Shuttles have limited seating, so make sure you are squeezing or you can take an Uber (3 mile ride)
