Almost! This is our Chicago-Wedding event. Due to the state of um... everything... we have separated the celebrations by country. This will be all the fun of our actual wedding, but without the associated risks of international travel. <3
This event is an Artist Salon. We would love to see brief performance art from some of our favorite guests surrounding the topics of Thomas & Kim, Weddings, Marriage, Dates, Love, Chicago, Chicago-style hot dogs, Socialism, or Nicolas Cage. This can be music, poetry, storytelling, comedy, or something so wild we can't even imagine it. Perform as a group! Perform solo! Surprise us with a third option! Details, along with a sign up form, will be posted closer to the event.
Grace Church is allowing us to bring our own beverages with the caveat that they are served by a licensed bartender. Bring a drink to share, and David Packer (our glorious bartender) will serve it back to you at no charge. (The litigiousness makes it even more fun!) We'll provide some basics, but any extra help would be appreciated!
Light hors d'oeuvres followed by a magnificent, traditional, 3 tiered wedding cake (baked by the bride's brother, Dr. Michael Florian) which will be ceremoniously cut and served. Please note: We will NOT have wedding cake in Winnipeg. This is something special we are sharing with just our Chicago friends.
With such heavenly venue it's only appropriate that we come looking fly as hell. Wear that thing you are too shy to wear. If it is too bold or weird, it's perfect for our party. Werq it bb and let that freak flag fly <3 <3
We encourage public transport! Grace Church is located steps from the Logan Square Blue line, the Kimball bus, Fullerton Bus, and Milwaukee Bus. Limited street parking is available.
